is this a full LSD? 1.5way? 2way?
thx guys... i've tried the search function and all of the previous one were for msprotege
MrTea said:anyone check with them on install? last i heard, same tranny in the 6, it had to be "fit" into the setup. not that i think anyone here would just buy it and go home and "throw it in". but Mazda Motorsports listed it a while back as available, but needed minor machining if i remember correctly.
just wondering if anyone asked Corksport to confirm?

Sorry if that doesn't help you guys out right now but we have a drag car to fix first.

if you are looking for one for the atx, both Lentech and Level10 can help, though again, parts need to be "fit" not just installed.
AzMz3 said:"Fit" as in pressed fit. I have heard this recently and it was only if you are changing gears. But for the straight install it was still listed to need modifaction to "fit" whatever that means.
I don't see a need for it as I don't plan to autox, even then I'd really have to drive a turbo car with one to see if it was worth it.
briand805- Which car are you guys working on?
I want your jobChibana said:I had already ordered the Quaife from CorkSport (and had not paid attention to these threads regarding the Quaife in the 3). After reading that it might require modification to fit, I did some research and called Mazdaspeed Motorsports. They told me that they can technically only sell the Quaife to racers, but the CorkSport one is their "loophole" to allow normal street use. It's the exactly same unit, and works fine, but does require some minor ginding off of bolts to get it to fit. I'm having this, and a flywheel and clutch, installed by a very good performance shop I've used for years, and have no reason to believe this will be an issue for them.
I just wanted to post an update to this. I figured others would be interested in what I found.
