Maybe I could get some people to drive out there for this...Depends on date and place. I am always up for a good road trip with friends :)

I ain't going if it's in Barona, practically mexico. Let's figure out something cool, like Laguna or Vegas. hehe. Shoot we can have it at Auto R & D if you want, but there's no track. lol. We gots about 200 parking spots.

Peace, Rishie

We have pretty large meets at our place all the time. It's always best on a sunday as the other businesses are not open. We're right next to many different things, pretty central location. Always a good spot to rendevous, eat, hang, and then go to do something. Drive, cruise, whatever.

We should do Protegefest in like Yosemite or something. Like rent out a whole thing and go camping. We'll all have our roof racks on, pimpin out our wagons for what they're best at. lol.

The options are infinite. Let's think out of the box. hehe. Yosemite is pretty central to all "californian and nevadian" peeps, kinda.

Although I'm no in Cali....but.....WESSSSIDE REPRESENT!!

but..closer to canada would be good :)

urrbody gotsda remember.... MOCC puts on the P-Fest.. MAZDA OWNERS CLUB of CALIFORNIA. thats why it takes place here. (THANK GOD!!!)
(stfu)

im there!!!!!!! it would be cool to.... maybe have it at with a camp site near by too... we can all camp out and get trashed teh night before or after.... just an idea.

Isn't there some kind of an abandoned airport in central cali. That would be a great location, provided we could get city approval. It's nice and flat, has pleanty of parking, and you could have your Dragstrip, autocross track, car show lot, and vendor area all in one location. As for workers, we could have people volunteer.

Unfortunately we cannot just go to an empty lot and make our own drag strip and auto x corse. There is alot more to it then that.

BOOO!!!

that sucks that "protegefest" has to be in california. that means no one from the east or midwest will ever get to go (unless they happen to be in the area at that time). i guess its more like a large california protege meet and not really protegefest
You can put on your own ProtegeFest, just call it something else. Protege Party, ProtegeDays, ProtegeFestEast...whatever. We used to have a Cougarfest in Dearborn, at Ford Headquarters, but eventually it spread to Florida and Tennessee, and the Cougar attended all three events. The only events it missed were out West. Now I am out West with the MSP, so I will take full advantage of the fact there are a ton more Mazdas here, so the event should be huge if advertised in advance. I missed the one last year by like one weekend. I will be there for sure this weekend. I want to start a caravan, in fact! (nana)

I'll be attending again. Hopefully the dragstrip will remain part of the event, I enjoyed it last time. Been looking forward to the next one since I rolled out of the Barona parkinglot last time.

If it's a drag event, I'll just bring the SRT!

Hey has anyone looked at having it at the Empty EL Toro Marine base in Irvine ? It would offer a secure site with lots of area for both a drag and auto x as well as show and vender sites.... Just an Idea ... and it is very fwy friendly and you wouldnt have to worry about noise levels and seeing that it is private property the local law would not be an issue.... (naughty)

Its all being looked into. However we cant just show up and set up our event without permission and insurance fees.
