that is too funny .. just today i had my friend driving my mp5 behind me and i called his cell and told him to kick it in 4th (on highway) and pass me and told him to get on it ..and he did ..>> GAWWWWWD DAAAYUUUMMM she looks so good and sounds mean and i told him to stay ahead of me the entire time so i could admire my baby

How many times do you get out of your car only to find yourself taking a look back at it and feeling so damn proud. Then you take a 2nd look and smile at yourself and maybe even a 3rd look from far away just to take in the sight. Damn I really like my little car!

mines dirty but still pretty
id post a pic if it wasnt so dark now.. but my P5 is COVERED in the sand from when is snowed.. the back door is completly brown and the bottom of the doors are getting close... I wish my dad would hurry and remodel the bathrooms so i could have my garage space back thats being taken up by the tubs.

As far as my wife goes, everytime I talk about my MP5 I start on about what else I want to do to it and she just rolls her eyes.
Definitely have to be an owner to understand i guess. Of course everything I want to do to it is all this forums fault. Thanks to everyone on this forum my wife thinks im going through an early mid life crisis.

yup im the same way with my car, my girlfriend thinks im crazy!
everytime i get out of my car and hit the lock button on my alarm remote, i take an extra couple of steps and hit it again just to make sure i locked her up right ........

I find myself doing the same thing, damn it's a good looking car. So many things I want to do to make it nicer and such small amounts of money to my name.

Smilin Marty, that's the same thing I find myself doing, I guess us all P5 owners have that "multiple take" syndrome
It goes this way:
-Stop at destination, think to self "Damn, that was an awesome ride, this car is great"
-Shut off engine, give a glad sigh through a beaming face
-Get out, remotely lock car, make sure that the lights blink and the "chk" or locking is heard, give another sigh through smiling face
-Walk away a little, turn your head back and think "Damn, what a tight ride"
-Keep walking away in disbelief of your luck of having such a machine
-Take one last look as you go around a corner/into your house/or anywhere where you'll lose sight of your car - once again think of how sweet it looks and how it's stylin' just kick's all other cars' a**es who attempt to look that good.
-Wait impatiently for the next time you can drive it ,while catching glimpses of it whenever possible from different vantage points, locations, and angles

i thought i was the only one who did this! man, this car is good looking. i just got the itty bitty stubby antenna yesterday. i put it on and the thing is TINY. it works well though, so no complaints. i was surprised by the size of the thing. oh, and now, i don't have a towering antenna on the back of my car anymore... just a short little stub that you can't even really see from far away.

Must be a MP5 thing. I always do a double take. I guess the best thing I have read about the car kind of sums it up "it just feels right". By the way, how many of you have seen drivers of all kinds, some with 30K rides, admire the MP5? I saw a guy an a Infiniti do a doubletake the other day.

Well i'm a filthy smoker (barely smoke in the p5 though, only on long trips) and I park my car right next to the smoking alcove outside the office. This way I get to look at it at least once before I drive it out to lunch. I usually alternate head first parking and backing her in, but i'm still not sure which end looks better.
