protege5 - mazda3 = mazda2

There are smaller cars than these on the market too..

We should all be moving to smaller cars. SUV's are pointless and stupid, guzzle tons of gas, and do the samething any car can pretty much do..

I have been in a Demio (the car the pic is based on..) and it's ver comfortable..

They do wonders, unlike the toyota echoe, where no one can fit in, in this car, it's actually roomy..

It would be good for those people who commute a lot, and don't care for the drive, just want to get to one place or another..

smaller cars are better too, more fun, and with minor upgrades to suspension and engine, are fast and fun.

I think Mazda should bring it over to NA. Of course it wouldn't mix too well w/ all these Excusrsions and Hummers running around.

Ahh could it be a k-class invasion?? with all these fuss about awd and jdm, people might be like hey let's sup up this mini-car, and drop the car .00001mm and put hid on it with a spoiler as tall as the car.

Your math is all wrong. 5-3=oogly

I think the Mazda 2 will be for Europe only. When I was in France this past summer, I think the entire time I was down there I spotted 2, THAT's TWO, Mazdas. Mazda, if I'm not mistaken, had no "econo" cars. Smallest was the P5 which would be considered a big ass car to them.

First of all, small cars are needed to navigate the streets in the very old cities. Streets are damn narrowl, and parking is damn near impossible to come by. They litteraly park 1cm apart. Once you park you ain't going anywhere until the guy in front, or in back of you leaves...:(

Secondly, gas prices are CRAZY expensive down there. I paid a WHOPING 1.20 euros a liter!!!! Converted to CDN = $1.88 / L. (And we b**** when it hits 90 cents a liter) Small cars are a must, and Mazda is just trying to get in on the action!!! In terms of comparable cars... VW polo, Reneau Clio, opel coras 1.2, or even the S.M.A.R.T etc... it isn't so bad looking.

Nice, now if only Mazda would start offering diesel engines in the US. They have much more torque, better mileage, and are more reliable.
