Protege5 insurance

PS. The BAD news is that I just received my California Car Registration.........$350.00 a year. OUCH! [/B]

Isn't Arnold reversing that? I heard that car registration went up 3 fold but Arnold is supposed to have signed a bill today to cancel the increase.

I'm scared to see what a they will quote me for a P5. I'm 16 and a male, that make her shoot up quite a few. However, I will have the good grades and drivers ed discounts. We will see......

Yeah...I think I have the highest....mine's $3800 per year, and that's before I add my sound system....so expensive cuz I'm 16 with a new car...

I pay about $650 (US)/6 months. 25, single, one fender bender 2 years ago (backed into my roommate's car in the driveway, DOH!) no tickets less than 3 years old. It just went down though...before I turned 25 it was about $900/6 months.

as mctoone said, here in BC a combination of public and private insurance, paying about $1,100 CAD a year for full coverage. Was almost same price as previous vehicle ... 1990 VW Golf. And here is listed as a Station Wagon. 45, no points or recent claims. In BC, as it is public insurance, there is no age bias. Your first year of insurance is at 100%, each claim free year gets you a 10% discount until you reach 40%. After that, you get one free claim, and start losing the whole discount. More claims, and you pay more than 100%.

29, married male w/no points: Allstate: 730USD/6 months.

Strangely enough, the fact that I blew .16 BAC a year and a half ago has no effect on my insurance. I was not convicted of DUI, but blowing over .15 automatically suspends a license in South Cackalacki and remains on your record. Allstate says it cannot, however, go against insurance rates. This seems backasswards to me, but I'll gladly not pay extra each month for it!

And yep, I know I was a total dumbass for driving under the influence. Lesson learned.
