Protege5 down again...

This time it ended up down in a big ditch! I was coming home when I was almost hit head on by a Saturn. I managed to get mostly out of the way, but the Saturn's front tire caught my rear tire just perfect and ripped the whole rear suspension off the drivers side. I went spinning into the ditch. I couldn't open the drivers door because the rear wheel and suspension was sitting there. I got a few small cuts where our mirrors collided and exploded glass into my face. I had the windows rolled down. We haven't figured out why the Saturn crossed the center line yet. Both her airbags went off and she was taken to the hospital. No pictures at the moment. I'm thinking this is a great time to part out the car and make a fresh start.

I'm mostly pissed about the FD rim and the AWR rear strut/camber plate that is broken now. I'm not sure what the future holds right now. I've got a little bit of debt I wouldn't mind paying off. I won't get another new car anytime soon. I'm 2 payments away from paying off the Pro5. It will be nice to not have a car payment anymore.

Wow, glad you're ok, hope everyone else is ok too. Cars are replaceable, but that doesn't make it easier sometimes.

Wow, that's horrible!

Regardless of the car, are you OK? Make sure you dont have any injuries or pains or anything; and if you do, make sure to let the insuramce know.

A wreaked car is one thing, but a wreaked back is so much worse.

i am truly glad both you and the saturn driver are not seriously hurt.

If you notice in the last picture of the FD rim...you can see the tire through the crack in the wheel. It completely exploded the inner wheel just behind the spokes.

Damn man, thats some nasty looking damage you got there. 22V hasn't been too luck of a color the past few weeks. Do you think they will be able to fix it?
