Mazda Protege5
Does anyone know where I can buy a dash cover for my Protege5? Are the dashes for the Protege and the Protege5 the same dimensions?

Thanks for the info friction. For some odd reason, I didn't think to call my local Mazda dealership to see if they had any. So, I called and talked to the parts department and they said they had custom dash covers for about $50. Sorry I wasted your time and thanks again for your quick responses.

n/p...actually my "help" was ignorant. I didn't even realize Mazda makes a cover for the Protege dash.

Cheap, too!

$50??? That is way too much.

Open up your yellow pages and look under auto. There will be tons of places that make dash covers. Got mine for $28 from a local shop. The protege and protege5 are the same dimensions, I got just a "Protege" dash cover. IT was plain black, no emblems or anything. But they said that they would redo the piping in another color for $5. (I will do yellow piping but need to find the fabric or whatever first. Also consider taking it to an embroidery place, I was gonna put "mazdaspeed" on mine but the guy there couln't do it. So I may take it to another place and see if I can do that still. Or I may justv put "zoom-zoom" on it or something. I only have one picture of the dash cover, it is actually a picture of my tint strip, but you can see the dash in it anyways. I am sure that you can fins a dashmat/dashcover store in your area. Much cheaper and not bad at all. It takes a while to get used to the look of the dash but I like it now, I guess, I will customize it though, in the future.
