Damn, its been awhile. Anout 4 mounths ago someone decided to cut my bumper latches. I took it bumper to keep it from dragging. I finally got around to ordering new ones last week. Got it today and installed them. As started getting into it, I noticed that the braket ears on the head lights broke off some how. No big deal, TIG welded up some new ones out of 1/8in Mild steel. Problem solved. Wrapped the day up with the first wash since November!
New brackets
Also, my new camber caster gauge arived after 3 months. Measures + or - 7 degrees of caster or camber. No more trig to calculate suspension angles!
Finally got the 5zigens on this past Friday, just in time for Mocc's All State Meet! Had time to take some pics on my way back from Morrow bay.
For those who dont know, Specs are: 205/40 mounted on 17x8 +25 front and 215/40 mounted on 17x9 +35 rear. Love the Set up, just wish I had more tire....
The wheels where completely refinished. The factory paint was chipping off, so I took it down to metal and gave it a few coats of some high grade Enamel I acquired from the refinishing building at school. Even found some original stickers on ebay. Fuckers took a month to get here and cost me 30 bucks, but well worth it imo.
17s are more practical. I can tuck tire and not be kissing the ground, especially with the roads here in Sacramento. 16s dont have very many tire choices either. Spoiler is meh, but its staying until Cf trunk and GT wing.
