Sorry to hear. Don't give up on Mazda, though, still a great product.
As for the citation, I don't mean to rant, but, I just don't get why some cops feel the need to cite drivers in this kind of situation. Unless there is clear
evidence of reckless driving, all it does is make you look bad to your insurance company.
There is too much policing going on after the fact, after an accident already happens, instead of making the highways safer from assholes that cause the accidents in the first place.
How many of us face this situation every day as I do:
I drive to and from work (@37 miles ea. way) mostly on a stretch of highway that is outdated and too congested, with on-ramps that are way too short.
The posted speed limit is 55mph. I guarantee that if you are not going at least 65mph and are within one car length of the car in front of you (in either lane, doesn't matter) you will either be tailgated, or someone will pass you and then cut in front of you again, or both.
There are multi-car accidents almost every day and I know for a fact that if I ever need to stop suddenly, my car and I will be toast.
