Protege 5 Rant.

Hello me again just wanted to say I love my protege 5 and my parents protege 5 more. but im driving my friend around cause hes mostly over at my house when we decide to go out and every friggin time i go turn off my alarm cause it really is a weak sissy sounding notification type tihng... then after that he just gets in and chills so were driving along and he brings up comments like why did i get the protege 5 I dont know why but he got a 87 corolla gts. I have looked at them and wanted them before when i wanted to get a car but the protege 5 was what i wanted when it came out.... so anyways i dont know it seems to me that all he talks about is how godly those cars are... etc etc.. im not sure if its just because of the ae86 in initial d fad but whatever it gets on my nerves.... then he hop in the back seats and says oh its roomey yea!!! i got it cause i love the look and its practical. but all my friends that have the 86 corolla are all like why dont you go buy a different car... i talk to them about modding etc cause there mechanics and one like your best idea is to sell the car, go buy my friends civic hatchback with turbo etc... i just hate always having people ******* piss me off about my car. its a nice car i like it, the look, the way it handles is great, the practicality of it is amazing storage passengers etc.. so why dont they just leave me the hell alone with my choice in automotive purchase.
the same guy that bugs me is like im all about imports yea well hondas, toyotas, and well a mazda is a import wtf~!!!!!! but yea my rant.

I made this just to wonder if any of you guys with protege's etc have friends that rag or flame your car just because its a mazda?

if so please do share i am curious to see your feelings on this.

Yeah, I have a buddy that gave me some hassle about my car. Oh its a station wagon blah blah blah.

Then when I showed him I could fit two bicycles in the car and still rail the corners....


he shut up.

Anyways, he rides in a dropped S-10 with a 4 cylinder, talk about useless and lame, so I don't listen to his opinions much.

i get it sometimes too, my friends has a 01 2.5rs and he hates on my car alot for a multitude of reasons. honestly i just ignore him most of the time, but other times i throw it back in his face and ask him stuff like why is he always filling up with gas (it gets poor mpg for a 4cylinder) and point out other various reasons why his car isnt all mighty. so its up to u, but honestly i think the ae86s are played out and remind me of fast and the furious cars. dont even get me started on civics either. not to mention mazdas are the most raced cars in the world...and toyota has the prius...

lol fair enuf the 87's are nice but mazda are gods in my books!

but there are a few that really stand out like the mr2 but the coolest looking car i have seen a mazda rx 7 lovely loooking cars.!!!! i consider what i have a sports wagon! and its does the job great!

People talk crap about my car being a wagon too, but i just tell them, that my car will out run them in MPG, touge , and that i can fit more boom boom in my back than his little trunk. btw our car is alot better than other cars as we have less rice in our mazda family than anyother import.

haha my friends tell me my car is cool and that i should mod it more.
my friend drives an audi s4 and he thinks my car is still cool. (maybe he is just saying that) my other friends like the car though cause i can whip it around the corners
they talk s*** about it being a hatch though.

My friends call it the Protogay, but won't say anything when I hang with them in the twisties. I've got a muscle car for the straight line arrest me now moments, but this car makes my life easier. It handles great, looks great, gets 32 mpg, and is reliable. AND my girl and all her friends think its sexy. hard to beat that.

I hardly ever run into this. Most of the guys I hang with love the P5. I have a couple GM friends who poke fun but they drive sunchickens and crapaliers so they don't know any better.

People are just jealous because they gots million car production models that go on for years & years & we gots a 2 yr production car(in US) & it's unique & somewhat rare in the overall big picture. Every car/truck has some shortcoming to it & no one vehicle is king of everything so whatever on all that hatch hatin nonsense. ****'em, they bought what they did & we bought what we did. Only thing that matters is that it serves your needs & gets you from one place to the next & back & you like it.

Everyone who got in my car with me was suprised on the handling of the car. Even my cousin who drives a mitsubishi lancer Ralliart that he sligtly modified !

And he's always trying to convice to mod my P5 but i don't have money for that.

So, overall it's a great car, wathever your friends say !

yeah i get crap all the time from my buddies who drive rx-8s and other variouse muscle cars...i dont care ill school them around the corners like 123 lol but i love the practicaly of the car and the room to. the HP isnt much but its whatev i still love it
