Hello all,
I just bought a P5 and I am a little new to the car. I've been googling around to try to find if there are brake upgrades but I haven't seen anything. Has anyone done a brake swap or anything other than rotors and pads? How did it work out?
Cheers
Rusty
they're NOT the same626 v6 front break setup = MSP setup
As for the rear.....well there is alot more sourcing for that but it can be done.
Hardly any ******* grandma OR grandpa action here, nowhere near. Everybody that has one of these cars has changed something about them that's unecessary. Need is one thing, want is another. That has no bearing on their quality, longevity or problem freeness. I have some necessary low mileage (less than 5k) oem brakes I'll sell......then you must drive like a grandma if you have that much longevity out of them. slotted takes away from pad life, drilled takes away from the structural integrity of the rotor, and neither are neccesary on a street car.

good pads, ss lines, and stock or blank rotors on the stock system is all you really need. i run yellow stuff pads, ss lines and blank rotors on the msp set up and i love it
oem front rotors come slotted. and i never had a major problem with dust.
cross drilled is where you kill your brake pad life and create a lil more dust
Funny, I don't remember slotted rotors being an option for a P5...
i just have problems believing that you have 1/3rd pad left after 70k miles. considering that stockers are only rated at 50k. i think you missed my point that crossdrilled/slotted rotors are pointless but ok. also, read your posts before you post them. that made almost no senseHardly any ******* grandma OR grandpa action here, nowhere near.
