Prosport Gauge Question

:
02 Turbo Midnight Blue Protege 5
Has anyone successfully fuse tapped their boost and oil pressure gauge using the driver side fuse box? I searched and searched but I can only find stuff for the speed 3 and speed 6. If no one can help, I guess I'll just have to extend the wires from the current location and tap them somewhere else.

For both prosport performance gauges I put the red and white wires together. I then put the amber/orange wires together and grounded the black wires. The green wire going to the oil pressure sender.

Now whats weird is when I put the fuse tap into a constant 12V location, the oil pressure gauge lights up white with the card turned off. I don't want that of course, so I moved it to a source on the fuse box where it has 12V when I turn the car on with no lights on and the gauge won't light up. Am I missing something?

I then tapped the amber/orange wire into the green wire for the dimmer. and it doesn't switch over when I turn the headlights on. Am I maybe not getting good contact when I splice them together with the quick splice connector? If anyone can help, or if they have successfully fused tapped their prosport gauges, any help would be great and which fuses you used to tap would be great too.

First of all you don't need to tap into a fuse, red and white go to a 12v accessory power, black goes to ground, orange goes to the headlight switch

I understand what the wires get hooked up too lol.

I was asking if anyone has done a fuse tap so I don't have to actually cut wires. For some reason my splice connectors are not cutting through the covers of the wires so today I had to expose them to tee off and solder them. I have them lighting up now, but I haven't powered them through the 12V accessory wire yet. I'm powering them from the 30A P/Window fuse which is constantly on and I just have to unplug the fuse as I get out the car. It won't even power off the radio fuse like I thought it would/should. I checked each fuse exactly when it has 12V when off, turned to acc. and when the engine is on and and I'm using the dimmer green wire to change them to amber when I turn the headlights on.

All you had to do was splice the yellow wire that goes into the radio harness or from the ignition switch if I'm not mistaken, and it would've powered on when you turn the key, and to get the color to switch you can do what i did and tap the headlight fuse

I already have everything lighting up as I want them. White when the car turns on, then the amber when I turn the headlights turn on. I understand how it works and thank you for the information though. I know there is a 12V accessory in the steering colum that I can use to attach the red and white wires too. Thats what I will be going with since I don't want to extend a wire half way across my dash. I only posted this to see if there was an actual fuse to tap into with the fuse tap adapter that I have. From the looks of it, no one knows. but thanks again.
