Prosport gauge in and questionable!

Thanks for the imput...that is why we are here to listen to what you have to say and constantly make improvements (cool) I agree with you.. good or bad I want to know what is going and keep informed.

well i just order my boost guage and know i was directed to this thread, so how will i know if i got the new sender or the old one, and has there been any problems with the premium tach.

Thanks.

They should all be new senders at this point. Look for a green wire on the sending unit to tell though. Mine is working fine and shows flat zero before start-up.

i them got from SU so hopefully they have the new senders but of coarse i have to wait a week for the tach.

I just got mine from SU 1-2 weeks ago (elec boost) and it has the newer sender so you should be good. Weird tho, I'm seeing max of 14.5 at WOT. Are you sure our cars run 15.5 psi?

EDIT: I just wanted to add that mine is zeroed perfectly and I have had no problems with it. My only complaint is that the wires coming off the sender were not long enough. Are you supposed to house the sender in the engine bay or in the cabin? Because the wires were not long enough to allow me to fish them through the firewall so it could sit in the engine bay. So I had to run vacuum tube into the cabin where the sender was (which if I wanted to this wouldn't I just got a mechanical gauge?)

Yeah, I grabbed a 25' roll of wire before I even started. I put the sender in the engine bay and just ran the cables through the firewall...

i install my prosport electrical gauge today and notice when i get test drive, you can hear the "legendary" PSSSSIIH sound?

i check vakuums, senders and small filter lines, all are very tight, or does the sender release extra air?? All Ok..were is problem?

Cool sounds even i have not change the BOV..!!

ive had my gauge installed for 2 days now and ive had no problems, my psi reads pretty fine i get spikes at about 18-19 psi in 4th-6th, ( didnt test sixth cuz thats like 100+) the gauge reads zero in key in and 21-22 vacum. warning works fine and so does the opening and closing ceromony along with the mute etc etc. great deal on such a nice gauge imo.

Not sure what that is.. the sender does not release any air.

I have double check every tube,t-connector, sender and everything seems to be in fitting good and no loose tubes...still sound come when pressure goes up and take foot off gas pedal quickly...pssiiih..! (scratch)

Im thinking is the t-connector that whistles when air flows..??

Any suggestions..??

Sounds like the bypass valve, but not sure why you hear it all of a sudden. Any other upgrades done when you did this?
