I just typed a super long reply and it didnt post :-|
I didnt find a passenger side fuse box in my 2010 speed3 manual. So I ran the orange wire (along with the vacuum line) through the hood latch grommet and tapped the tail lights fuse with a bladed fuse tap. I ran my red & white wire to the same power source since the prosports rep told me to wire it that way - I used the cig lighter fuse on the driver side panel. You could also tap the headlight fuse if you dont want to use the tail light fuse.
I didnt use a dimmer though... Im not sure if you are asking about dimming the light on it or for the illumination on the gauge. If you want it to actually dim the gauge, I imagine you could wire a Potentiometer inline with either illumination wire.
