Well, it seems the losers are out again--even on this forum. Just so you genius' can get it right--again--the link to one probe kit is from 1994, and it was a USED kit the guy bought from someone else!!! Does it EVER occur to you that people sell kits with other company names on them??? I built only two kits with the turbo over the transaxle, and both were installed at my shop in 1994 and 1995. One was on a red MX6 (1994), and the other a white PGT (1995). Both cars were dyno tested and made 230 wheel hp @ 7 psi and ran high 13's in the 1/4. Then a few months later dozens of these cheap crush-bent copies suddenly show up all over Probetalk with people buying them from PROBETALK sellers, and wala--TKTurbo makes SH** (actually it was ATSTurbo at that time)

Does that sound right to you? And the referrence to a kit with a wastegate on the car and crushed pipes--what the he** is that. Never in a MILLION YEARS did that EVER come from MY shop. Bolts missing!!--I dont think so. Usually what I hear is that this guy HEARD from the person selling the kit I was the shop who made it. I havent made a turbo kit for a PGT or MX6 for over three years--almost four. So how current is that post--eight-ten years ago???

Before you join a lynch mob, why dont you become EDUCATED instead of following someone with a story they heard. The facts just dont follow the truth--but I dont think you care about truth--usually the idiots in these boards know nothing at all anyway, and when someone questions whether something you claim is true you ridicule him and he goes away so you can find others to agree with your pathetic problems and point of view.

I KNOW the quality, money, time, and R&D I put into MY kits. If any of you REALLY want to ask people who KNOW what they are talking about, instead of listening to these idiots who know nothing, why not call Vortech and ask about me--or simply go to their site and see how they recommend my company, or go to GTPro for the 3000GT kit --see who they recommend, --or call Corky Bell, and ask him, or call Ford Motorsports, Paxton Products, Magnuson Products, Dynamic Turbo, SFP, BAD Performance, etc etc etc and ask about Thomas Knight. Then you will realize there are losers on this board, and the TKTurbo is NOT one of them!!!

I havent made or offered a kit for the Protoge--I never have. I sold the last of my 4-cylinder 2.0 FS MX6-Probe Eaton supercharger kits to someone with a Protoge 1.8 FD, and that was the only one sold that went on a Protoge

BTW, while you are talking to Corky, tell him I said hello.

I defy you to show you bought anything bad--I will even make this honest challenge--show proof that I made any of the kits you referred to or any production kit that was poor like described in that post and I will GIVE you one of my $2000 superchargers--and if TEN of you find that proof I will give TEN away. That is how confident I am and I KNOW my work is good. If you look at the referrence from probetalk the guy even admits in there HE IS NOT the original owner because he says the previous owner did not get more than 4 psi boost. How do you know the previous owner got it from me?? because he said so? So use your heads.

BTW, if any of you know how to post pics on this thread I will send you the FS Eaton kit pics I have of one that made 265 wheel hp, as well as all the other kits I now offer. Look at them and then decide whether the 'stories' you have heard are real or imaginary.
 
shouldn't we at least consider his arguments? i think some of us are, but most still are dismissing it without any thought... i dunno the history of this guy but i dont think we need to be so aggressive...

didn't darin get a tkt kit, have issues, send it back and get a custom one made? that may not be true though, i don't remember, i know he can shed light though

Go to my old website and see the first PGT kit ever made with the turbo over the trans, and then see the twin turbo version and the prototype with the turbo on the front of the engine. The prototype was Mig welded, and the production models were Tig welded.

Just remember that PT had a LOT of kits sold to and through them that were NOT my kits.

This website is from 1997--I had a customer build it for me and then he dropped off the planet and I still cant get rid of it--after 7 years it is STILL there :-( That shows the first kit with the turbo mounted on the FRONT of the engine which I did from that point on. If any of you will send me an email at atsturbo@aol.com I will send you pics of the production kits I sold to PGT owners. Then you can put this BS to rest.

I'm not trying to be ass here, but seriously. I think it is a difficult situation both ways for a number of reasons.

And, if I have an oppurtunity to talk Corky again, I will certainly ask him about you...

While I cannot speak from personal experience about his work, you can find information that shows he has been doing this for some time. . .and if he was really that bad would he have lasted.

And yes, I feel a little bit like a "knight" myself in that I'm forced to defend someone when I see something "unjust". . . I feel sorry any time someone offers us something new. Unless the person is Terry or Nick (perfworks) it must be crap!!!!
 
the consensus on probetalk is that people who go to his shop to get things done it comes out well, but as far as the stuff they ship it comes out not fitting right,etc... if you go search on pt (if it's up) you will see people's experiences, they've had to deal with it for a while.
this has happened with other shops, where they are good for local customers but don't care about mail order because they will never have to personally deal with them and they can't really do anything about getting crap.
and if you notice, all of those pictures are of sc's, most pt people hadproblems with his turbo kits, and are ok with the sc's, just some don't like some of the designs
 
Damn, this is some old s***. I posted this thread over a year ago to inform folks of the opinion of one of the Probe guys who got their kit, and wasn't satisfied with it. Maybe the title is a little harsh, but I was quiting. Time is the biggest teller of the truth, so in time....
