Promazda...

:
Mazdaspeed Protege
I was researching some old threads and couldnt really come up with anything, is there anything at http://promazda.com that this forum doesnt have...I went to the other forum and it doesnt seem to active compared to this one. Thats why I joined this forum instead of that one...if anyone has any other information for me on that site that could be helpful, let me know...

We aren't trying to compete with this site. This site will always have more information and be more active due to it having more members. Promazda.com is just a place where members of the club come to keep up with each other and what is happening within the club. Most of the Promazda members spend just as much if mot more time on this forum because of the overwhelming volume of knowledge that can be gained here. ProMazda is just a small part of the Protege and Mazda community as a whole. We started our own forum to help keep our members and friends closer and informed on things specific to the club. It is just our own little home on the web.

I saw your post through my email. I was typing fast since I had a feeling a couple of other members were working on replies as well. I know that some people seem to have a real personal problem with our club, but I can't for the life of me understand why. Someone actually told me once that they thought we were all assholes by the stuff they were hearing through the forums, but after they actually met us and hungout they realized that we are just normal, everyday people who love our cars. We get a lot of exposure and sometimes we get a little outspoken about things especially when it comes to the club, but it is only because we love this club so much and any attack on it or one of it's members is an attack toward all of us. We aren't the Mazda Mafia everyone thinks we are...just a big Mazda family.

I'm kind of a long-distance member, but I really like ProMazda. They really have a "family" type of vibe that you really don't see on very many internet forums/clubs. :) All for one and one for all! (drinks)

amen to that... yeah some people have said they don't like promazda, but I don't think they ever experienced our get togethers or met us in person. its just a great bunch of people that share at least one common interest and can get together and enjoy the time. without them, after moving to DC area I would seriously probably have left and gone back to NY...

well ill be honest...whenever i think of promazda, that one thread keeps sticking in my head...actually one post in particular....about how you guys wouldnt go eat at mcdonalds or some stupid crap like that cause people should be able to afford nicer food....i dont know, i am not gonna quote that, that was a loong time ago.

After talking to ghost though, as well as others, and not really hearing anything else negative, my perception of it is different, we are all talking about starting a chapter in MI :p

yeah! that would be cool if it pans out. glad you are changin your mind dreeza. I was just thinking bout the club the other night, and I seriously haven't really met too many people I can really get along with in DC (at least non of my co-workers and stuff) but having the guys/gals from the forums and specially promazda really helps stuff out. i was seriously considering moving back to rochester, but i couldn't leave you guys.

*side note, how you like your wings being near tops in the west?*

I think I remember the fastfood comment, but it has been a long time. I don't even remember where it came from, but I'm pretty sure that it wasn't meant as malicious. I believe it falls into the "it was a joke, but it came out wrong" catagory. I can't eat anything at McDonalds due to my diet so I'll have to stick to Taco Bell for my cheap meals.

i lived on McD's for like 4 months... and then I swapped to wendy's. and then little ceasars... I'm soo happy I have a better paying job now.. hehe although, all white meat McD's nuggets do rock... mmm....

You guys in MI will do great!

Guys I am the outspoken one. But, I stand by our guys and gals to the fullest. Im verry passionate about this family, its the closest one I have. I see all these guys as brothers and sisters. We all work on each others rides, help each other when we have personal problems. No one is left out in the cold.

No mater what, I can always know that when I need a hand, there will be 5 there to help me.

Well I appreciate the input and everything, I think a MI chapter would be a real cool idea...didnt see too many members on pro from our area, but it would be nice to talk to anyone with just the same interests which i think is the general agreeance. I just like to be able to get info, get it fast and enjoy talking to the people who are helping me out. So thanks for everyones posts, quite quickly I might add...

Dude, no problem. I just like to see people enjoying their cars, so if there is anything any of us can do from way down here in NC, just let us know.

I thought promazda (ghost) was an asshole too, when i first starting visiting the forums. He knows that. But no one has been a better friend than him. After visiting a few weekends in High Point, NC, where ghost, laracroft, xelderx, killerfrank, bootleg, and Will live, i decided to move there. Dr. Zoom and MiataMike also live 15 minutes away in Greensboro, NC, along with several other members close by. These are truely the best friends in my life and I can't understand why people have this bad perception of us.
