Projekt UFO manifold nearing completion

I guess I'd rather have it be a little harder to put on (or even significantly harder) and get more gains out of a (nearer to) equal length manifold...

Thats just my input, nothing more, take it for what its worth.

Well you can, It'll just cost a few hundred $$$ more.
I guess for the price I'm OK with it as long as it's more durable then the OBX and has better gains then the Stocker....
I can't wait to see the dyno numbers

I would love to see numbers on the same car vs stock, steedspeed, thunder, and a true equal length stack up. I know its a pipe dream, but I would like to see how important having an "EQUAL" length manifold really is... I'd bet (nothing scientific here) its not as important as people think it is, unless you're talking a full race application.

Sorry guys, with all the negative responses, I figured no one wanted it.

I can report this, when I got the manifold, there was a pinhole leak on the #3 tube where it meets the flange, and that little hole has not blown out, or changed in any way shape or form.

There are no other leaks and the welds are still holding. Full boost is achieved around 3.5k, which on these cars isn't bad for a TO4E.

I will be talking to my fabricator about making one more today, and sending it off to one of you for testing.

Dyno numbers will come after I fix my cars smoking problem, I think I may have a blown turbo. Thanks for the continuing interest everyone.

sweet!

and i think a lot of people are still interested even if they complain about it...

...or some people just like to complain...lol

so if you got a new turbo, what would you get?

You can test one on my Car see my sig for Mods. I can dyno before and after and we should have the split second on in a couple weeks, Does this move the turbo out at all. I don't have much space since we just added the Corksport radiator and SPAL fans

I asked for it to be moved out a little, but not much further than the OBX is. About 1/2 inch out from OBX specs.

I talked to him today, and I need to talk to Antione about getting one out there for testing before vendor status is approved. Also, Bob got a bandsaw, so now the pipes and welds will look a whole lot better as we were using a sawzall to cut the piping before.

We are going to go with a 1 3/4 inch pipe that has tighter bends than before, so the next one should come out looking tops. I will talk to him to get an expected start date and completion on the second prototype. The tubes will be more equal length than before.

Like I said, the next one will look a lot better.

i am def. interested.. need one thats for a t2 internal gate setup.. i will use my car as a tester if you need it also

We can do what ever flanges are needed. Next manifold will be made for you T-2 guys. Also would like to point out that the runners on the tubing will be a lot more equal length.

hopefully by april you will be able to be done with prototyping and start shipping as i am really interested and will to buy one for my boost project.

All in good time guys, the second prototype manifold mounting plate is being worked on right now. It is getting the CNC treatment, and should be done within the week. Waiting on bends for the new proto and the T-2 flange to gt here. Same collector will be used, and will look a lot better now that we have a bandsaw.

I shall keep the updates rolling.
