Progress anti-sway bar anyone?

Progres anit-sway bar anyone?

I just got one here. Can't decide on which setting though... and if I really need to remove the wheels for the install. Any opinions? Tips?

Were did you purchase your bar and how much?

You shouldn't have to pull the wheels for a rear bar. Don't know about the front, though.

question: I was at the dealership with my car up on the hoist, there is already an anti-sway bar there, but it has rubber bushings. Does anyone know what the advantages of the progress anti-sway bar are over the stock bar? Is it actually a stiffer piece, do they have different bushings, etc.
Thanks! :)

Just a guess but it's probably a larger diameter bar and comes with poly bushings.

The Progress bar is stiffer (22mm) and has two settings. It also has polyurethane bushings.

cool, thanks!! can you give me an estimate of the difficulty of the install? as in newbie, some experience required, or a mechanic buddy should do it?

The rear is easy. All you need is a couple 15mm wrenches and maybe a 4mm Allen. A 15mm deep socket and ratchet would come in handy, too.

14mm wrench/sockets actually... The install wasn't too bad though all the bolts were really torqued down from the factory and getting the end links in can be an interesting experience. It sure can whip a U-turn now.

So did you end up putting in a front & rear bar or just the rear and do you think it would be better to get antiroll bars before springs?

Thanks ahead of time...

Getting just the back is a better idea with a front-wheel drive car. It tends to reduce the FWD understeer tendencies a bit. I personally won't ever get springs so this was the only mod I was interested in.

Maybe I am missing something obvious, but no where on Progress' site can I find where to place an order. Did you call them and order it that way or did you buy from a distributor?
