Problems with MPI

Hey..here's a thought. Pull out mpi tuner..and go for a ride..and hit boost..if you hear no CLICK..than your Turbo Module is not kicking on..and that's your problem!

im going to check it out, but beau wants me to send the turbo back to him and i just spent 100 bucks getting the exhaust welded, so now, how the hell to get the turbo off and to him.

yea im just going to unbolt the turbo from the ******* exhaust i guess. i think when i get this s*** fixed im going to sell my car.

nick doesnt answer his phone, email, or pms. frankly i guess i dont even give two ***** about this problem until i can fix my oil leak coming from the goddamned turbo.
he does answer...maybe not on weekends....

dude..relax...this isnt that big of a deal..don't fly off the handle and sell your car now..take a chill pill

send beau the turbo..while he has it, go over your mpi install paying MAXIMUM attention..One wrong wire and you can screw up the entire thing.

this is turbocharging a stock NA car, not making a cube out of tinkertoys..things are bound to happen

If your exhaust is welded to the turbo, the only easiest way to pull the turbo off is to unbolt the hot side from the center.

Bad wiring...probably the O2 sensor....

i understand where you are coming from. but i have been messing with this s*** for 9 weeks, and i have basically 3 weeks to have it running perfect. otherwise i am ******. i have 1200 miles to drive in 4 weeks, and one of those weeks i will not be able to work on it because i will be in the field. tiem is the issue. if time WERE not an issue, this would be no big deal. im just sick of ******* wtih modded cars. i just want a damn truck or something.

Why not take the car back to stock? Cars run perfectly well from the dealer floor, sounds like the mods caused the problem.

If you are sure about the wiring, then it could be the module itself. I don't know how to check it but call nick at the shop during the week. If he doesn't answer, wait a bit and call back. Sometimes he is out road tuning and not in there. No, he usually doesn't answer on the weekend because he is doing so much.

BTW, did you put all 1's in the 1x16 column?

Sucks to hear the problems. Not that this helps anyone, but I just drove my car 2116 miles from Illinois to California, through the mountains and desert and had not one problem with fuel or timing. Never even lit up the J&S through the mountains until I got some bad guess in CA (91 octane on a 93 octane tune) but even then it only lit up 2 lights and that was only under very unusual circumstances. Car ran so good, never even touched it during the trip. I just wish everyone could get their car running the same. . .I went through a year of problems with mine. . .three turbos, two manifolds, countless leaks (air, oil, etc), concerns, fears, lost sleep, lots and LOTS of $$$, but in the end the s*** paid off. . .same wishes to everyone else. And if there is any way I can help, you know I will.

i guess nick is sending me a new turbo module tommorrow. that seems to be the issue.

Little Beavis is in the land of sunshine now. . .you're all welcome to visit. I'll have a house by the end of the month.
