Problems with 3rd gear

Just wondering if you guys can give me some insight in to this.
I've been noticing something wrong while shifting from 2nd to 3rd. It feels like it's a bit notchy and catches on something but still goes in to gear. It happens randomly but happens more often while shifting on higher rpm. Almost feels like I didn't fully engage the clutch fully feeling. Could it be the syncro's failing or something with the OEM clutch case it's been slipping lately?

I am running a FM kit, B&M short shifter and REDline MT-90.

had that, its your syncros and your 3rd gear. i went to the dealer to get the tranny overhauled. after that everything was good except the dealers did an ass job.. everytime my clutch is engaged i have this weird high pitch ticking noise.. but no more grindingi from 2nd to 3rd. if your warrantee isn't out yet take it back.. but since you have the FM kit, short shifter. seems like your out of luck..

My friend has an 02 P5 and he had a problem with his trans. It seems that he was pulling it into second to hard and he broke his shift forks. the car got stuck in third and he had to have it towed to the dealer. This happened twice to him and the dealer told him his car was red flaged and he would have no more driveline warranty.

Thanks for your help guys. I hope it's not the synco's cause that will be expensive to replace. Right now, it's not too bad yet. I think I should take her easy while shifting until my new clutch and flywheel goes in later on next year. I'll probably upgrade to the MSP clutch shift fork and clutch release fork pin while I'm at it.

Any idea on how much the synco's will be to replace? and what should I do to avoid this problem again in the future?
