When I try to crank my car, it tries to crank, but will not start. I have replaced the ICM, coil pack, ignition wires, spark plugs, rotor button and the distributor cap. It's getting fuel to the pistons. I don't know what else I need to do. Any suggestions??

All cars need 4 things in order to start.

Air, fuel, spark and timing/position.

spark - take the boot off one of the plugs, put a screwdriver in the end and make sure its making contact and while a buddy starts the engine get the screwdriver close but not touching anything metal. This will ground out the spark and you will see a small blue arch.

fuel - get a fuel pressure tester. there should be a nipple somewhere on your fuel rail with a cap over it. hook the tester into this. you should have pressure with key on engine off. Then the pressure should raise while cranking. (exact specs very with cars) Also the vehicle should hold pressure in the rail over a period of time.

- You can also try turning the key to the on(not start) position and back off about 10 times. Then turn the key to start. This will prime your fuel pump and create pressure in the lines. If your car starts, then its a fuel issure. Most likely the fuel pump or the pressure regulator.

timing - This will vary with different models. Since you said you replaced your distributor cap im assuming this is not a newer 6 were talking about. But there will always be some type of mark on the crank pully and somewhere on the block near the pulley. And a mark on your timing belt/chain sprocket ( this will be on the end of the cams and a matching mark near that on the cylinder head. line the crank up first, then look at the cam mark. If its off try rotateing the crank 360 degrees and see if it lines up (crank moves 2 rotations for every 1 rotation of the cams) If the marks line up your timing is right.

- could also be your crank or cam position sensors. again testing these varries with make and model.

Air - Check for any big vacuum leaks or any hoses that are off. Check for restrictions in the intake system.

This is all very basic easy to check things that you can do yourself. I would start with the easy stuff first.

Hopes this helps you out at all.
