Problem installing RB springs

Hey guys,
I started installing my racing beat springs and everything was going fairly okay, until I had to undo those bolts that connect to the rear tie bar-- the ones with the weird rubbery backside that you have to use an allen key to undo. As soon i put the allen key in and started turning with a wrench on the bolt, the inside surface with the allen key just kind of stripped instantly. It was really rusty and crappy. So i tried again on the other joint nearby and the same thing happened. So now, either i pay someone to install them or i do something else. Any suggestions? Thanks!

those things are the endlinks. probably easiest to cut them off and get new endlinks. otherwise try to find some way to stop the screw from spinning without the allen key and wrench it off.

30 to 35ish a piece.

AWR ones cost about the same, but then you have to wait for shipping and all that hoo-hah, and are not disposable like the stock ones.

im sure mine are rusted (road salt) and im probably going to have the same problem when i go to put springs on.

:( Soak them in PB Blaster for 10min and then try again. get some vice grips on the bolt and use an open end for the nut.

yeah, that was so frustrating when they told me that when i was buying new endlinks.
it would have made my install so much easier.
good thing they carry them in stock.

if you can't get them off, as Dex said, break them with an open wrench and then you can grab the ball nut with vice grips( ouch ) and remove it from the endlink

mazda said it's a risk if they don't replace them or something???
