I would have to agree that it is probably your fuel pump, once they get old if they get to hot then they don't like to work properly. The other thing you should check is your starter.... if those are faulty then they don't like the heat either.

Thanks kamprotege00 Im probably takin it to peb boys to get the fuel presure test and check for vacumm leaks.

If anybody have another guess I would like to hear it

Thanks again

I had a similar issue way back when I had an RX3 (happened only when the engine was recently running. It turned out that a positive wire that was routed either to the ignition switch or from the switch to the starter was grounding to chasis somewhere. I realized this when I checked voltage at the starter. It was 8 volts, even though the battery was perfect. Because the wiring was buried somewhere in the dash, I simply installed a relay that took that 8 volts from the ignition and used it to connect a solid 12V from the battery to the starter. Of course, if this is the issue your car has, it's be better to find the wire that has its insulation rubbed off, and replace or patch it, but a relay would work if all else fails.

First, though, check voltage at your starter (where the ignition wire connects to it) while someone is trying to crank the hot engine. If it's below, say, 11 volts, that's your smoking gun.
