theres the one from the local newspaper, he was one of the officers that hit the car when the car came over the median...

i talked to and saw dave yesterday after the accident happened and all i can say is at least he is still alive...stuff like this really makes you realize how precious life really is....we went on a cruise on monday and it never occured to me that something like this would happen...hes in good spirits, he has a compound frackture in two places on his left forearm, he has a couple missing teeth, and some road rash to his face...but again, i thank god hes alive

i just thought id share with you this traggic info because i know howmuch of a family this forum is and dave/pro 5 comes on here a lot....

HOLY CRAP. I JUST MET DAVE TOO i got super scared when i opened the article, first thing i saw was "HPD motorcycle officer killed". i thought to myself no way no way no way, this cant be happening. omg but yes, at least he is still alive. god i just met him saturday night too. idk, im still really really shocked. i just pray for him and his wife. he is a REALLY nice easy going guy. if anything goes on so we can visit him, im there man. my prayers go out to him and his wife. peace - chris

Well, that is a tragic story and I am glad that he is still alive. I have but one question...Did anything happen with the driver of the white Mustang that hit the Stratus? I would think that person should be charged with vehicular homecide for the deaths of those two people. He/She was obviously following too closely the car in front of him/her.

However I am saddend as I am sure everyone esle is by the loss of your fellow officer. You guys to alot for everyone rather they realize it or not and to see a good person meet this fate is a true tragedy.

he was on duty while this happened, his motorcycle was totalled, on fire, etc....

his protege is fine, and ill be keeping it warm for him
