Privacy glass question

In what way is it not enough? How do you judge? You mean the kid can still see out?
Good to know its glass. Tint would get scratched up.

How much did that cost?
Now that I think of it, wouldn't be a bad thing to do for my front windows in my Touring.
It's not enough because bright sunlight through my daughter's rear passenger window makes her have to look away.
Your post sounded sarcastic, but I actually think the tint on UK CX-5 rear windows maybe isn't as strong as the US cars and, i'm guessing, you're in the states?
Never had complaints from our 6 year old grandson about glare, and tint looks about the same as the daughters merk that he usually sits in.
I really like the tint, it keeps the interior cooler in hot weather, and definitely improves privacy, perhaps you could try one of those things you see that can be suckered onto the window, sorry don't know what they call them.

Front tint was free stuff. Doesn't seem bad 3m stuff. Need to get my 2nd car tinted.
The rear windows have Privacy glass, the "tint" is part of the glass and imbedded within the glass itself. You can always tint the back darker if you want to just make sure a decent shop does it and knows what they are doing, Adding a 20% tint to the back will result in a much darker then 20% tint because of the already dark glass. Another option for your child is to get one of those little sun shades that sticks or hangs on the rear windows.
Maybe a bit sarcastic, but not meant in a mean way. I really didn't understand. Actually, I do have a 5 year old, and when she was younger, glare in the back seat was a problem. It never occurred to me that window tinting would be a solution.
I've thought of it as "privacy glass" rather than glare mitigation. I don't need privacy glass, but protection from glare and greenhouse heat are good.
No problem, i thought it was in good humour.
My kid's 2 and she waits til I'm driving and can't do anything and then removes hats and suck on window blinds.
Outside it looks strong.
Inside not so much. Maybe 70-80% light transmission?

Thanks for the pictures. It looks like seeing out shouldn't be a problem.
I still prefer to be able to look into my car from the outside, and see if my daughter is in there, if she's putting on her seat belt, or having trouble getting it off, that sort of thing.
I like to be able to wave to the neighbors as I drive by, if they are a bit behind me by the time they respond, I'd like them to be able to see me.
