Hello all, I am new member. I am on the verge of picking up an '09 CXP GT.

Can you please give feedback on the proposed price quote I have received?

'09 Grand Touring w/ Bose/Moonroof and Nav/Power Lift/ Back Up.

MSRP 40,910

$32,910 is the "final offer" from the dealer.

Let me know your thoughts.

You can try. 36k - 37k is more likely though.

If you have a trade, don't compromise on it's value. That's how they get most people. That, and extending the payment schedule, but then you're actually paying more. Set a fair price for New, and Trade-in, and stick to it.. If that balk, leave. A dealer will never let a buyer leave without a purchase if the offer is remotely reasonable.

He is saying the dealer is offering 8k off. I think the cheapest I have seen on a well equipped GT was between 8k and 9k off, so you are in the ballpark.

Curious. Is the $32,910 the sale price, or out the door? big difference. My suggestion is out the door. Otherwise they just play more games trying to screw you out of more money.

When we bought ours I had a set price I'd pay for the CX9 including all taxes and other fees, and a set price for our trade. I did not waver, and in fact, the beat it by $100. They were not going to let me leave without a new car.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. I paid 30k for the same car back in October but a 2008 model. That sounds like a reasonable difference for a 2009 with a few new features.

Well I decided to pull the trigger on the vehicle mentioned above. I have had cars with more of an enthusiast market (S4 & S60R) but I'll be honest its probably a good thing that things are quiet around here. It will keep me from giving in to the modding bug

You will love this car. It's fun and functional. Don't muck it up with teen accessories.

Also, change the tires as soon as you can to get the most out of it.

Don't worry I have a lot of experience modding properly. I won't be putting a fart can exhaust whistle tips on my CX9
