Prices of Tail lights

I just noticed that the prices of the tail lights for a 2007-2009 are 100 dollars more than the 2010-2012. Why is that ? I would think that the newer models would be more expensive since they haven't been out long. I was thinking that the older ones would be cheaper by now, but if anything they have gone up. The difference is between 100 and almost 200 in some cases.

They are plug & play, get the newer ones!

Maybe that is their way of trying to keep older parts on the shelves longer.

I am wondering the same thing ceric. Those are the nicest ones aside from the 2007-2009 ones. I would really like to have those, but they are probably even more expensive than the 2007-9 ones.
