Looking for a MX-5 for a fun track car and date car for my wife and I.

I was going to purchase the new M3 until i saw it. Seeing what they did to the new M5's, it was a disaster. The cars no longer look " different " than a regular 3/5 series, aside from the side vents, emblem and quad exhaust pipes. The older M's looked muscular in a sense and its to bad to see BMW go down the standard look road.

A buddy of mine has an 01 M5.. Although the car has been beatin like a redheaded step child and completely whored out, he hasnt had to many service issues with it. its now on its 83,000 miles and he is getting ready to dump it. Several people at work are already drooling to purchase it. I hope they can afford to maintain it as it ages

I wouldnt mind having a AMG C63, lol

(Jan 1998 - Sep 2006) 1994 Calypso Green Metallic Ford Ranger XLT (standard cab/bed) w/ color-matched Leer cap.
Likes: Manual transmission. fit like a glove and was fun to drive. upgraded the audio and added CD changer. Saved me money on a number of moves.
Dislikes: no passenger space or leeway to adjust seats. no reserve power on the highway. long-throw stock shifter. fuel economy.
After having the rear diff & grease seals rebuilt, seals on the power-steering pump replaced, and looking at a cat-back replacement on 4-year-old exhaust parts, I decided to avoid going any further down the slippery slope of old-car repairs and traded it in for...

(Sep. 2006 - ) 2007 Aurora Blue Mica Mazda3 GTS Hatchback.
Likes: Manual transmission. It's a Mazda! It's new! Passenger space with the ability to carry small to moderately-large sized objects. Low CG. Good stock suspension. I think I'll keep this one until it dies. (headbang)
Dislikes: heavy traffic. Couldn't get Phantom Blue when I ordered. Helmet hitting headliner (naughty)
