Previous Rides?

very nice! Lovin the Leon Cupra R

Why thankyou, it did look the dogs danglies but it lacked the go compared with my baby (the evo), so it had to go, I have had all of those cars in the last 7 years !!!
I'm going to trade the speed 6 in in 3 years and get another Evo for me, hopefully a 10, and an RX-8 for the wife as she loves them to bits, but at the moment we need the 6 for the room in the back. I dont know what the law is over in the states but in Britian we have to have kids in car seats untill they are 12 or 4' tall !!! Thats why we need the 6 as 3 car seats wont fit in the back of the current evo shell.

1996 Infiniti G20
Likes: My first car. It was black, dead sexy looking for what it was, power everything. SR20DE was a fun stock motor, darn near bullet proof. Classy enough to show up for a date in, handled pretty darn good.

Dislikes: High revving but slow, brown interior, passing it on to my sister, actually not much to dislike. It was the perfect first car.

A fellow G20 driver :)

It wasnt my first car, although it was my favorite, to this day. Mine was black w/ grey cloth, 5spd manual, and like you said, bullet proof. Nothing could stop that car. Best car a high school/college kid could have.

In order of ownership:

1987 Honda Accord LX-i (200,000 Miles, exhaust pipe was in the trunk, couldnt shift out of 1st until I was at 20mph!) High School
1985 Nissan Sentra (A god send compared to the way the Honda drove, just because of its rough condition) High School
1994 Infiniti G20 (My all time favorite. 3.5 years and 50,000 miles, this car always made me smile) High School/College
2004 Mazda3 (Yea, you know....) College/'The Real World'
2007 Mazdaspeed3 (Now I can go fast...and haul more stuff) Currently Driving

All Manual :)

2001 Mazda Protege LX - Actually my girlfriend's, but I drive it alot. It's slow.
1992 Subaru SVX - Daily driver

Will have 2 new cars to add to that list very, very soon.
First will be a 1983 Datsun 280ZX w/ a Ford 302. Will be a full-on road race, non-street-legal project. Second will be the next daily driver...it'll be a surprise.

1985 Nissan Sentra - First car, fender bender 2nd day.
1981 Toyota Starlet(brown) - almost totaled 2nd week.
1981 Toyota Starlet(white) - barely running, used it to fix the wrecked Starlet.
1986 Mazda RX-7 GTU - Fun car, only lasted a couple of months in my hands.
1987 Suzuki 310 - traded for defunct rx7, sold after a couple of weeks.
1989 Mazda 626 - (old) Wife's car, lasted for ******* forever.(still running strong with wife's cousin)
1991 Acura Integra - Very fun car for about 4 years.(still miss it)

1999 Ford Zx2-Auto, JBA Headers, Borla CB, Weapon R intake: Very fun car, handled well, 60K miles and never had to go to the dealer for any issues.
2002 Mazda P5- Jspec Cams, Tsudo CB, Injen Intake: This is the one I wish I would have kept. I loved this car and still do. MSP5 would have been the shiznit!
1999 Ford ZX2 S/R- This car was awesome, the handling was great and was pretty quick. The Rousch version was said to have ran a 12.4 quarter mile. Ford what were you thinking?
2003 Honda Civic Lx- Boring, but reliable car.
2005 Subaru WRX- I loved this car too, but the Exterior wasn't my taste. Very quick car and fun to drive.
2006 Mazda 5- This one is a keeper, It's the pimp van.
2006 Honda Civic Lx- This car got great MPG, but again was somewhat boring(Auto). The handling was very good with the stock SI rear swaybar.
2007 Mazda 3- Good car, better than the 06 Civic, handled well, plenty of power.
2007 Mazdaspeed 3- Only driven it 3000 miles, if this car had the looks of the P5 it would be an all time classic.
2000 Mazda Demio- Slow, but handles well.
1997 Toyota Starlet Glanza V- I love this car also, it's an Auto, but still has balls.

Amen! Reliable is an understatement. I do miss the G sometimes. But I know its in good hands.

Uh, Sorry....

1987 Toyota Tercel hatchback, silver.
1977 Porsche 924, maroon
1993 Chevy Cavalier, blue
1996 Chevy Cavalier Convertible, teal
2004 Dodge SRT 4, silver
2007 MS3, Cosmic Blue

1999 Civic Hatch DX 5-Spd, silver
1997 Honda Prelude Base 5-Spd, red
2007 MS3, black

One was better than the other. I don't really miss any of them to be honest :D

  • 1973 VW Superbeetle (bright green, in fact) Almost non-existent reverse gear, tried not to park downhill
  • 1989 Hyundai Excel. Something to be said for a warranty, zero options. Fluorescent wiper covers. It was 1989, what can I say. Radio was stolen, so was a silent ride until handed down to the next kid in line.
  • 1992 Hyundai Excel. Zero options. No radio for the life of the car.
  • 1995 Acura Integra GS-R. Best manual transmission I've ever driven, let alone owned. Don't know why Honda stopped using rod linkages and went to cables.
  • 1998 Honda Prelude Type-SH. A bit faster than the GS-R, but engine wasn't as free-revving. Shifter was a step backwards. Great handling; loved the SH unique trait of pushing torque to the outside wheel under power, made entrance/exit ramps a blast.
  • 2001 Acura CL-S. Was envious of my wife's TL with navi, so got a CL-S with navi. Great car, but wish it came with a manual (not available until 2003 model year, the last year for CL's). Much better on freeway than all prior cars, but handling not where I'd want it (3500 lb cars just don't feel nimble)
  • 2007 Mazdaspeed3. Test drove it while buying my wife's CX-9, and realized how much I missed a quick, sharp-handling car.
I left out the wife's car list and the pile of motorcycles. One thread on a similar forum a few years back had people posting how many cylinders they've owned over their lifetime. My number was up there, but it takes an awful lot of 4-cylinders to catch up with those who are into Mustangs and the like. :)

how did you ever justify getting rid of this car!?! My dad has a 00 540i with the M treatments and a v8, that thing is a beast, I can only imagine that car with the v10. I want a 85-87 m5 project car, very rare but awesome

Having also owned a 2001 E39 M5 (my favorite of all the cars I've owned) I'll bet I know why he got rid of it. Same reason I did; once out of warranty, the potential repair bills are very frightening!

The E39 M5 is on my top 5 list of all time great cars! BMW can stuff its new M5. Give me the last gen model with 400hp (and no IDrive) anyday!

My only car worth mentioning (if that lol) was a '95 Contour. I had a few mods I was proud of. No pics scanned in though. :(

I LOVE my 3, though. Can't wait to save up for mods. ;)
