Neon had some good things to it..

be it, mine was auto, and 0 to 40km/h no matter how much gas you gave, always accelerated the same.

The engine whined LOUD when you got into the higher RPM's..

It did handle well, it's a low car (always fell into it, never sat..)

I never modded mine, for me it was a temp car, pickup was smashed, for 4.5 years (long time for temp).

I am just thankful I have the P5, the pull in fifth is soooo much better than what ever the neon could do (again, bad 3 speed..)

Did you have any probs with the neon..

I had:

Head Gasket, Crank Seal, 3 or 4 O2 sensors, electrical problems, Radiator, A/C, Rear main seal, and a few more things I can't remember..

The studs would also go on the fronts, had to have them replaced twice (rusted and seazed). Ate breaks for lunch.

The only thing I really miss is the Variable intermittent wiper..

heres my list:

1996 Nissan Altima (auto)- not mine. families. drove it while in high school and thought it was awesome. fast, cornered well. what can i say, ignorance is bliss.

1996 Toyota Rav4 (5 spd) - learned to drive stick on that car. loved it. knew it wasnt that fast and that it didn't handle to well but it was my baby. had fun during the winter cleaning parking lots with my uncle:D

2002 Chrysler Town and Country Limited (auto) - The Big Momma. now this was a pimp mobile. took some of the corners around my house faster than people thought a minivan could. showed some ricers that they cant drive as well in the process. still drive it time to time. dad drives it now.

and currently: 2003 Protege ES. (5 spd) - Vanessa. damn do i love this car. only had it for about 2 and a half months and i still watch it like a hawk whenever im in a parking lot.

96 civic hatchback... auto... yuk~

99 Chevy full conversion van... (family purpose...loved TV and VCR stuff)

In order from my first car to now.:D

1988 Isuzu Imark Hatchback

1991 VW Corrado G60
1993 VW Corrado VR6

am I the first here who owned a Fiero?

1990 Toyota Corolla DX (shared w/ bro in high school)
1987 Pontiac Fiero GT (beauty, totally unreliable)

I still have the Fiero but the engine went with only 61K on it :( I had enough and went to the mazda dealership.

85 jaguar xj6, not as big a maintenance problem as people make em out to be, nice rollin on 18's, gave to younger brother so still in driveway/

2000 ford ranger - owned for one yr while jag was being repaired.

1999 eclipse - bought cause was tired of the gas guzzling inline 6 in my jag

2003.5 pr5 (loving it more than any other car I owned) plan on owning it for at least a few more yrs untill I am financially stable enough to go after something like an rx8 or evo or maybe by then a new rx7.

Honda CRV given to me by my grandma..... never really got to drive it xcept on my permit, but I still took car of it like it was mine...which it was... if that made sense. Anyways my mom drove it untill I was to get my licence and man did she do a job on it. She really ****** the car up big time. Rear ended someone, then got rearended in like a matter or a couple months. The interior was s***.... I liked the car to an extent, but I knew my mother had to keep it, so that's when I got my P5 :D And even then I had it about a month before I got my "real" licence. I knew I couldn't mod the V, but I still felt fortunate to have a fairly new car and left it like that. So when I got the P5 I knew that I was gonna go to town on it! God I love that car.
