Basically, you're ecu will retard the timing back to the timing that is standard on the regular 87 octane proteges....After you switch back to premium, it will advance the timing as much as it can in about 100 miles or so....
Probably not enough to cover the gas, but the performance difference is pretty nice...If you want to trade, I'll send you my MP5 ECU...it'll make you throw a CEL because no VTCS, but will run fine on 87octane...
