well i just got my mp3 and ive ran it about a tank and a half through with regular not premium....

is this bad?

no, just not pushing the full potential.

Basically, you're ecu will retard the timing back to the timing that is standard on the regular 87 octane proteges....After you switch back to premium, it will advance the timing as much as it can in about 100 miles or so....

Probably not enough to cover the gas, but the performance difference is pretty nice...If you want to trade, I'll send you my MP5 ECU...it'll make you throw a CEL because no VTCS, but will run fine on 87octane...

well i just went and added about 12 gallons of 93 octane so ill take the + off tomorrow and reset the ecu and that should do it right?
