and if you think that is impressive, you should see Kooldino drag himself across pavement using only a socket wrench.

LOL, yeah, that bolt was on there tight...

:o

Congrats!! Very well done Perf!! :D  Now let's see the look on those Honda boyz faces! (as you speed by of course)

holy s***, if that 3000 price includes the piggyback, i might as well buy another turbo set up!!!! lol, thats a crazy price!!!

I don't know if $3000 is going to be his final price. I think it was just an early estimate. But it seriously is an awesome price if thats what it ends up being.

I know you're real busy, but if we could get specs on the kit I'm sure we'd all love to see them :)

yeah, wait for the final word from Perf. I was at the shop again today, we discussed the stuff we are going to do to my car. I am pretty sure I will have the only sleeper on the forum. No body kits, no flashy paint, no carbon fiber. From the outside, my car will look bone stock.

Now I just need to start on the homepage.

Micah,

Let me know how your AT holds up (do you have an eta when you will get the kit installed?)

I am wanting to turbo my car as well (p5 w/ sport AT) but i want to see how the tranny holds up first. I can't afford blowing the tranny after a few months.

I honestly don't want to do more than add a cooler and switch to synthetic ATF. Anything more isn't worth it to me (i.e. adding $$$ for tranny overhaul) and I will just go out and buy the wrx or sti.

Is this a setup we can install ourselves, or do we need to have someone proffesionally install it. Because at $3000, its the best priced kit on the market.
the kit wont be 3000$

i was debating on whether to do stages but decided not too. 3000 sorry to say is way too cheap for the time and what will be included. but it wont be much more expensive either. i will have final word for tommorow on the exact pricing and the individual items for sale. thanks for your patience. im tired long day ill post tommorow all the info i promise.

So approximately how much are you charging for installation?

Heh, i thought so, the piggy back unit itself is 700. Not to mention the HUGE intercooler and HUGE turbo, and HUGE downpipe you are using. I am probably responsible for people thinking the kit was $3000. I can't remember why, but somewhere i heard it might be 3. Sorry about that guys/gals.

The kit will come complete with every line , bolt, nut , wire tie etc. you will ever need to finish the kit on your own. you need to have some mechanical sense though. what i mean by that is being able to use simple hand tools. they will be mentioned in the kit exactly what will be needed.

Well now that you have fitment issues all sorted out, it shouldn't be a big deal for me and a friend to bang it out in a weekend should it? I mean, are you going to sell it as a "kit" or as a "fab it yourself" but we give you most of the parts thing?
it will be the best designed kit on the market. very easy to put together and self explanitory. there will be either two videos or CD 's to guide you. one for auto matic trannys and one for manuals. we will decide this week which way we are going to go with the instructions.

looking forward to seeing some good things coming from perfworks. IS the kit on an auto now? I agree with the above post as well, 3K is a great price with an intercooler. At that price, the kit installed would be about as many on their own. get that site up!
the first automatic will be Micah. we workied out the details yesterday and awaiting some time to do the install.
the price of the kit will be higher than $3000. i wanted to do stages but i found that this will complicate the kit and it will not be worth the effort i have put in it.
there will be one kit that will be customized to the individual without any incresaed cost to the buyer. the price i qoute will be for several options.

PERF, are you gonna be selling this as a kit or can you part out different pieces, be it the interco0Ler, the manifold, turbo, etc. 3000k is a damn good price but some people might want to buy certain things from you and piece out the rest.... i know i pieced mine out together and it was about 3000-3500, then i got ripped on the interco0Ler piping so it was about 4100, about there...
there will be individual things for sale also. the intercooler , piping etc.
but my KIT will have every thing you need for a proffesional install including gauges for boost and fuel pressure.
Every nuand bolt needed will be included. put it this way once you recieve the kit in the mail you WILL NOT HAVE to go anywhere for additional clamps and s***. everything you need will be provided so you can get back on the road in one day.

Perf...does that price come with the new programable ECU that you have been working on?
we were going to do two different ones. one with FMU and one piggy back.
i have changed my mind after discussing it with my partner. We will offer ONE kit that will be superior to anything else offered because we will include complete ENGINE management. The piggy back for now and the next kit in one month for the race car with a standalone.
