Power locks for 2010 3 i sport

Well that kit should work for you. I used a kit kinda like that on my car.(not a 3) the only tricky part is getting the actuators lined up just right to lock and unlock correctly.

The dealership (where I am employed in sales) service dept tells me that in the USA anyway the prospect of adding the remote locking /alarm to an I-sport without the power locks is a rather large and wasteful undertaking and you might as well just get the next trim level up I-touring and for what $1200 bucks you get 7-phone Bluetooth, Cruise control, Alloy Rims, Remote Keyless entry with power locks(2-keys) , Stability Control and Traction Control . Thats the way to do it , dont make the mistake of buying the base to save what is not even enough to buy the Alloys after market???

Did this kit work on your mazda3?! I got a kit like this and i was curious as to if it was worth even trying...

i have the base model 2010 3 and mine has power locks/ power mirrors, and power windows...how is it your doesn't?

Florida over here didnt bring anything either lol its them just trying to make us finance another 1200 cuz power locks and security didnt cost me more than 500 installed

Power windows, mirros and steering wheel radio keys is all the base brings down here

The first release of the '10 3's didnt have power locks (im in the same boat) i tried installing locks, looking around for aftermarket as well as pricing out OEM parts to make my own kit. It was more then a hassle then anything. There are a few members on the board here that have kits for around 300usd. I chose the easy way...I gave up and will always remember to make sure the next car has them. But for now, i dont keep anything of value in the car, and never lock my doors. (might be dumb, but i have insurance and the keys are coded..cant steal the car but if they did...BAM INSURANCEEE)

Id really like to see someone post a good how-to, for the door locks. late '10 and all '11's come with Power locks standard, you just have to add the module for keyless.

Wish it was an easy fix, the doors have so much sound dampering material and an abundance of excess hard plastic CRAP you cant do anything without hacking the
$hit out of the doors. No thanks for me!

Anyone out there want to take a shot at doing this?

best buy, or even an audio shop. usually they install those kinds of devices aswell. seriously it wasnt that much money, and took me 30 minutes to find a place after buying the car. droped it off the next day and i was set in 2 hrs.

Got a helluva deal, or actually some compitent people, cant find anyone round here. But havent been looking that hard. Did you have power locks and just needed keyless or were manual locks off the get go?

had to buy the alarm system, which included installation for $200+tax. Then $100 for door locks on each door which includes installation and programing of the doors to the alarm beeper so i didnt have to buy another. I love best buy :)
So actually if cost me like 650 at most if i remember right.

Manual locks from the get-go
