Power cable routing through the fire wall?

Has anyone pulled a power cable through the fire wall and if so, where did you choose? The big steering wheel gromet looks to be the best candidate on first glance, unless one of yall knows better?

Not sure if this is the case on the 2 (I haven't looked on my car yet), but on the 3, if you have an automatic transmission there's a plastic plug in the firewall where the clutch pedal would go. It's a great place to drill through for cables.

good suggestion, but yeah this is for a 2 with a stick....if the weather isn't too bad today (Seattle and all) I'll see what I can do.....

I'm actually in the same boat right now, did you end up finding anything?

I did find something good...I'm going to make a complete post for my stereo install, but there is a little hole that you can push a power cable through no problem
