Potenza has a Bulge - Anyone have a tire to sell?

I was washing my car today and I noticed the bulge on the passenger side front tire. Car has 5k miles and of course there's no warranty to be had on the tires. I know it's highly unlikely that anyone has a tire to sell but just thought I would ask. Thanks!

Called the dealer who said to call Bridgestone....Bridgestone said I'm SOL....Nice isn't it?

BS. call and complain. No way you should have to buy a new tire after 5000 miles.

A bulge is a tire defect.

I agree, It's BS. I've talked to Bridgestone customer service who transferred me to a Tire dealer. Absolutely no warranty. It really ticks me off because I've never done anything to this tire to cause this. It's not my fault whatsoever. So frustrating.

Call Mazda NA...Call the General Manager of the dealership you bought the car at...

good idea.

I know my MSP came with a booklet from Bridgestone about the warranty.

Look for it.

It came with a tire care manual but no warranty card. It also had warranty information about Toyo tires. I don't have Toyo tires.

usually a buldge isnt a defect in tire!
a buldge can be from the tire hittign a pot hole or a curb or something. the ones that usually bend inward are tire defects! most outer buldges are form somethig happening to the tire? not a defect. so it might have hit somethi gon acciednt to cause it!! (which can be from normal daily driving)

Just wondering how would it bend inward when pressure is pushing outward? I've never heard of that.

I haven't ever hit any bumps/potholes. This car hasn't been off the beaten track, if you know what I mean. I pretty much drive it to work. No potholes. And it's NEVER been curbed.

Umm, no thats not a tire defect. That problem is called an "impact bubble",

from hitting a pothole or something else. And i bet that Bridestone is a very

expensive tire($200+).

Well, I don't know I think I would have remembered an impact that would cause this since I'm anal but I guess anything is possible. The price I was quoted from Firestone with mounting/road hazard was $275.

Sorry to do this to you but Im just trying to help. I nabbed the bridgestone warranty book from my car. Under the section titled "what this warranty does not cover" it says:

A. Road hazards. Including, without limitation, puncture, cut, impact break, stone drill, bruise, bulge, snag, wheel spinning, etc.

So at least its a no go from Bridgestone, but I would keep riding the dealership on it, good luck.

My husband said to just drive on it. I think he just wants some life insurance money..LOL.
I'm not going to take it on the Interstate or anything and it should be fine for now. I leave for Oahu, HI on Friday and will be gone 4 months so, it's not a real priority. I still have my Escape to drive too, even though it is still misfiring. Oh well, such is life.

youll be fine..ive done 100+ with my bulge nothing wrong...seems about the size of mine..just small curb bulge..i have it in the back so when i turn and stuff less stress...u might want to do that...rotate to the rear
