that sure is quick for a stock MS6. I just ran a 8.66 1/8 @ 79.5 mph with CAI, DP, and exhaust. I'm very surprised, but good for you.

Not meaning to be an ass at all man but I have heard a lot of people say there right at that stock. Was it hot or did you get the wrong slip? It seems like you should run faster with the mods...

went to the 1/4 mile last night and did a 13.68 at 100.37 60ft-1.791 and a 13.73 at 101.28 60ft-1.934.
I need more practice, I'm shooting for 13.4, maybe next wednesday.

congrats! men i did drive good! lowering the ture pressure did help you see i told you !

yeah I think it helped. hopefully next wednesday I can do the same 1.7 60ft but with the better shifting in my second run, then I'll probably get a 13.4.

My 1/8 Et

First time I've ever taken my car to a track. My mods are listed below. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. The only thing I did was to throw a can of octane booster in the tank. Temp was 66 deg F and overcast. Any idea how I would run on the 1/4? (evil)

well for my 13.42 at 101mph i ran a 8.5 1/8 so i am guessing with the 8.6 you should be in the 13.5-13.7 great time with those mods!

THANKS! Thats what the starter said, along with the 2002 stock WS6 that I smoked 3 times, and the 68 Nova SS drag car that never caught up. (yippy)

I never ran mine stock, so I can't officially call the people that say they ran 8.6 stock crazy. However, I consider myself an above average driver, and feel my launch and 60 ft time are good for my mods (1.77 my best). I think I could possibly run an 8.5 at around 81 mph if I had an absolutely perfect run. But with so many variables in play (launch, perfect rpm shifts, no spinning of the tires, etc.) it would nearly be impossible.

For those people that say they run 8.6 stock, I personally have a tough time believing it. I know how much stronger my car runs now compared to stock and I just find it difficult to believe that a stock guy could run right with me in the 1/8. But that's just my .02 cents.

I feel ya. I just am tryin to see where i should be at. I ran 9.4 and I know i was WAY slow cause I couldnt launch it! Then i had to leave.

well there are allot of variebles(esp?) most of those crazy stock times were archived by taking weight of the car like spare tire etc, puting race fuel, lowering tire pressure that is been proven that does help and in perfect weather conditions! also we have seen 193whp to 220whp stock dynos! so there are some speed 6 that come faster than others, i dont know why thats just the way it is!
