Not meaning to be an ass at all man but I have heard a lot of people say there right at that stock. Was it hot or did you get the wrong slip? It seems like you should run faster with the mods...MUSOM said:that sure is quick for a stock MS6. I just ran a 8.66 1/8 @ 79.5 mph with CAI, DP, and exhaust. I'm very surprised, but good for you.
buit9110 said:yeah I think it helped. hopefully next wednesday I can do the same 1.7 60ft but with the better shifting in my second run, then I'll probably get a 13.4.
MS6mike said:well for my 13.42 at 101mph i ran a 8.5 1/8 so i am guessing with the 8.6 you should be in the 13.5-13.7 great time with those mods!
AWDRACER6 said:So people who say that they ran 8.6 stock are crazy? What did you guys run stock? (in the 1/8th)
I feel ya. I just am tryin to see where i should be at. I ran 9.4 and I know i was WAY slow cause I couldnt launch it! Then i had to leave.MUSOM said:I never ran mine stock, so I can't officially call the people that say they ran 8.6 stock crazy. However, I consider myself an above average driver, and feel my launch and 60 ft time are good for my mods (1.77 my best). I think I could possibly run an 8.5 at around 81 mph if I had an absolutely perfect run. But with so many variables in play (launch, perfect rpm shifts, no spinning of the tires, etc.) it would nearly be impossible.
For those people that say they run 8.6 stock, I personally have a tough time believing it. I know how much stronger my car runs now compared to stock and I just find it difficult to believe that a stock guy could run right with me in the 1/8. But that's just my .02 cents.
