how easy is it to remove the sidemoldings? are they just on there with some sort of adhesive that comes off pretty easily? or do you have to fill in holes and paint?

here a quick story ... mechanic at mazda forgot to put on the cartridge right before the oil filter when i did my oil change, so the oil filter went flying off while i was driving, pulled over when my oil meter light went off, thank God i turned the car off in time, called roadside assistance and got everything fixed ...
