I've only had mine up to about 100mph. I'm still trying to sort out an oil leak and I'm going easy on it for a while until I get used to it. But I can tell you it got to 100 from 60 in one gear, and it was almost instantaneously.

Yeah I doubt that the turbo cars will topout much more than stock. Just get there alot faster!!

In 5th gear at 100mph my car pulls like crazy....kinda feels like I am in 3rd gear or something

I've gotten my MP3 up to 140. It took a while to get there, but it got there, and was right at redline. At the time, all I had done was injen intake.

That must have been down hill with the wind at your back with really skinny tires on the car. The drag coefficient for the Mazda P5 and MP3 won't let you reach that kind of speed with the HP we have. To reach that speed, you'd need about ohhhh ummmm.......180 to the wheels and about a 2-3 mile stretch of road. But hey, if you say you got to 140, I'll take your word for it hehe

I was able to reach 140 on my way back from CA (to Phoenix, AZ). If any of you are familiar with at drive it was right around palm springs. There was a bit of a downhill, which definitely helped me out.

I have s*** done to my car and did like 132mph but it wouldn't pull anymore but wasn't redlined it was like 5800rpm or so then i was all shakin' cuz thats the fastest iv'e ever been in that car and it was kinda scary at the moment but what a rush. So point being i think if smp's car was one of the odd balls that was built a lil out of spec and a lil more horse and then plus he had an intake or had that at the time i believe he did it. I love adrenalin(SP?).

Well I got to 115mph!
I just dont take much pleasure from going over a 100 in our cars. I think its crazy to do 140 in a pro. I did 130 in my turbo miata and was having a s***!

If I was on a large straight closed non public road I would definatly do it but I would never do it on the expressway.

I just like accelerating really really fast to a 100mph...now thats adrenalin!(sp?)

I agree it was pretty fun, but a little scary. I just thank god there wasn't a cop around...

But the next time I drove out to Cali, I DID get a ticket, so I've learned my lesson. Criminal speeding will do that to you.

I have had my mp3 up to about 130 rounded off prolly like 128 but I say 130 so people will think Im cool. It was box stock at the time sence then Iv lowerd it, which must cut down on drag a little and added injen cai so I bet I could get it up to mid to high 130's maby 140, and if I took the wing off I could sqeeze a bit more mph out of it.

Ya, not quite 20 over, but I guess in AZ anything over 90 is considered criminal.

I think the 140 would have landed me in the nearest jail facility.

I agree, I just don't really care to go that fast on public roads and kill familys in minivans like the dumbass kids around Dallas do all the time. A kid just died last week here in Dallas because he was racing on a residential street and he hydroplaned on the water from someone's sprinkler system. Talk about a wasted life. The news said his mom went crazy when she had to ID the body that was still in the front half of the car that was wrapped around a tree in someones yard. Would you like to have your family have to do that?
