focusing at night is hard for me for some reason.
it looks good when im taking the pic then when it's blown up on the comp it looks garbage and blurry.

this was the best 3 out of about 70 i just took

Just happened within the last 10 minutes. Be glad you missed it.

Mckernan, it's always tough at night. It's not your focus, it's the fact that the shutter speed is so much longer, that it's way too tough to stay stable enough. A tripod is your best friend for night shots. And a 10mp picture looks very different on a 2in screen, as opposed to it's full resolution. That's the glory of digital, just keep shooting.

Also, if you don't have manageable light sources for night shots, like strobes and external flashes, setting up your shot using the ambient light is key.

yeh,
i don't know how to do the setup with artificial lighting lol.
i just hope to get lucky.

this was taken with a tripod, but quick question.

i took these in manual with 100 ISO and exposure at normal.
shutter speed was about 10 seconds, but i wasn't paying attn
you think it would look nicer with it set in shutter priority and a longer shutter speed?
