But like many other arguments, evo vs sti, ms6 vs ms3, glock vs 1911, etc there is a big for vs against.<br /> <br /> <div class="bbImageWrapper js-lbImage" title="original.jpg" data-src="/forum/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pbase.com%2Fjpeper%2Fimage%2F32267513%2Foriginal.jpg&amp;hash=2a46f7ffe3070c6869809133c50ded71" data-type="image" data-lb-sidebar-href="" data-lb-caption-extra-html="" data-single-image="1" > <img src="/forum/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.pbase.com%2Fjpeper%2Fimage%2F32267513%2Foriginal.jpg&amp;hash=2a46f7ffe3070c6869809133c50ded71" data-url="http://www.pbase.com/jpeper/image/32267513/original.jpg" class="bbImage" data-zoom-target="1" style="" alt="original.jpg" title="" width="" height="" loading="lazy" /> </div><br /> <br /> On that note, I do use UV filters on occasion, such as in the rain(see the night/fog/rain pic), saltwater spray, or any other harsh environmental cases, or in a place that a camera/lense could get scratch etc. For a polarizing lense, I have one 58mm, if I need to eliminate glare I will use it, but for me 99% it is not needed. <br /> If I scratch the filter, I can simply remove it and keep shooting. I feel much more comfortable cleaning dirt off of an $50 filter than I do from a very expensive lens. <br /> I use high quality filters like B+W with their &quot;rain x&quot; like coating, also heliopan has a similar coating. I personally do NOT consider a low end/low cost filter to be acceptable. Many of these exist, do NOT buy them.<br /> <br /> Pic Thread...HDR<br /> <div class="bbImageWrapper js-lbImage" title="mg026345abr8.jpg" data-src="/forum/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fimg352.imageshack.us%2Fimg352%2F8859%2Fmg026345abr8.jpg&amp;hash=8ab9b5e931911ba25422ec503407c114" data-type="image" data-lb-sidebar-href="" data-lb-caption-extra-html="" data-single-image="1" > <img src="/forum/proxy.php?image=http%3A%2F%2Fimg352.imageshack.us%2Fimg352%2F8859%2Fmg026345abr8.jpg&amp;hash=8ab9b5e931911ba25422ec503407c114" data-url="http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/8859/mg026345abr8.jpg" class="bbImage" data-zoom-target="1" style="" alt="mg026345abr8.jpg" title="" width="" height="" loading="lazy" /> </div></div>
