Tails were custom painted and lightly tinted in cherry red. Also painted the boot lip spoiler gloss black. Some imperfections in the paint job but those will be attended to soon when I have time.

^^^ Your Miata just reminded me how much I love Classic Red. It just seems so much deeper than True Red (2) and Blaze Red (RX-7) and makes me miss my P5. Do you remember the paint code? I think it's A3E but I'm not so sure anymore.

The paint code is SU. I loved the True Red MS3 I had. I think that is one of the best reds that I've seen from any manufacturer.

Interesting. A quick search resulted in two different color codes for Classic Red: SU and A3E. I guess the "Classic Red" on the Miatas is different from the "Classic Red" on the Protege5's. Also interesting to note there were two Blaze Reds as well: H2 and SQ.

I remember when the True Red MS3's first came out. By comparison Classic Red is dark although it almost makes True Red looks like it's slightly orange. Just getting ideas for the RX-7 when it's time to paint

Yeah the True Red is definitely a bit orange if you look at it in bright sun. Particularly when sitting next to a darker red like CR.
