I didn't want to say anything, but the fact that it was recently "discussed" made me chuckle.

Depends on the hardware and point used to anchor them. A friend and myself towed a stuck honda a couplt years back by one of those out of some deep snow. The hook held up just fine. So, i doubt that even if aluminum that 1/2" aluminum is going to rip in half from towing a car weighing less than 3000lbs

Hahahaha... strong guy!

I doubt that this forged aluminium would bend. They still sell the kit past 150 bucks!

The rear one is bolted to the OEM-frame-welded tow hook with grade 12 bolts.

The front one... I cut a hole in the front skinny metal plate to go get the "frame-rail" of the car so this one too is pretty much heavy duty... not only "appearance"!!!

BTW... landscape is so nice down there in california!!! Would be a dream for me to do a road trip from here to there!

Iukekini: your car is awesome... but is the 2 cars of your signature yours?

Atleast you get to have fun in the snow. I cant wait to be able to go play in it when/if we get any snow this winter...

yeah i mean if its gonna be cold it might as well snow...If its going to just be rainy and cold it should atleast go to 40s-50s and ill throw my summer wheels and tires back on.
