Post pictures of your H.I.D kit, all colors here!!!

sedan headlights get H4. It's up to you if you want an HID hi/low kit or bixenon.

Hi low's have HID for lowbeam and a standard halogen bulb attached to the HID for the high's. Not the greatest quality but get the job done.

The bixenon is one bulb with a sleeve on a sylinoid that shifts forward or back to expose for high beam or low beam so you have an HID high and low

And are they OEM fogs?

then H3 bulbs should do it, but, i still have yet to hear someone confirm that the H3 hid bulbs fit in without a problem into oem fogs.

I know at least one member on here has em but he had to drill a hole in the foglight housing to run the wiring or something like that. I can't remember 100% offhand.

H3C bulbs WILL fit no problem, but they are not known to be reliable. You may get a year or 2 out of them, then it's time for new bulbs.

In person, mine look more blue and hers more white. i still gotta mess with the white balalnce on the camera moer

anyone know where/how to get projector units for 01 protege?

Ya either gotta retrofit projectors out of another car into your headlights yourself or pay someone to do it.

There are no "off the shelf" projector lights for our cars

im currently looking at the apexcone setup but i am curious, do they have hi and low beam setups? i think right now im running the 9003 hella xenon bulb kit, and i want something to upgrade my brightness and clarity. These xenons arent really doing anything for me.

First off, whatcha drive?

Second, yes, Apexcone does sell a bixenon kit for the sedan headlights

H4 high-low kit

sorry, i was using the fact that im in the protege forums to give a heads up. 03 protege. Im fighting between 6000k or 5000k, and I want to know if these will be brighter than the hella xenon bulbs you can get at your local advance autoparts

HID kits are MUCH brighter than regular plug in bulbs

And, asking which bulb you've got, if it's a sedan, you've PROBABLY got the H4's, but, the Pro5, which is still a third gen protege, uses h7 for low beams and 9006(of 9005) i can't remember 100% for the high beams

So, if you are using H4's, you'll need the high/low kit, which will cost a little more than the H7 low beam kit.

As to your color choice, anything between 4000k and 6000k will give you the most usable light. Closer to 4000K you get, the whiter the white. 6000K will give a blue tint

will 5000k be a nice happy medium? I kind of like the bluish tint, but I dont want to be mistaken for half the ricers out here with all show (might i add some effed up show) and no go. Im just looking for something brighter that will give me great visibility, even in the rain and snow out here. is the xentecs that are being sold in the fs section worth the purchase? or should i go apexcone. Lifetime warranty sounds nice.

If you like the blue tint, 5000K would be perfect for you.

I personally like the white, OEM looking 4300K. I've got 4300K on mine and 4000K on the wife's and they are white white. And, I'm running an APEXCONE, and wife has a TECHONE and neither have given either of us a problem yet.
PM coming your way
