Post pics of your OLD cars!!!

Oh Corrado!!!
Hey Pants if I can get access to a scanner I can post the 2 Corrados I owned. I had a white `90 1/2 G60 @ 14 psi and a black `93 VR6. The VR6 was in the European magazine called MaxSpeed. Both the G60 and VR6 was in VW Trends for a VW Vegas club. I loved both cars, G60 1/4 mile rocket and the VR6 was a top end hog. Only major thing was that both cars were a major money pit of problems :(

Razor, that car is LOUD. Those 12" Punch DVCs are sickening, especially when powered by an amp thats RATED at 1590 watts at 4 ohms - so you know its actually doing more like 2000 watts. There is about a foot and a half of room between the box and the back of the trunk so there is plenty of room for deflection of sound to the front of the car ... plus all the dynomat keeps rattling to a minimum. He took it to a dB Drag once with the old amp (same model) but the thing was half blown and wasnt making full power and still managed to get 140 db playing "untuned" to the CD he had to play. I have a video of it at the Nopi Nationals 2 years ago playing the radio (of all things) with all the windows/doors closed. The rear wiper was litterally bouncing OFF the rear glass -- it definitely drew a crowd. He solved that problem this past year and shaved the rear wiper ;)

Sounds very nice. The car was fun to throw into the corners.

I agree with you on the money thing. Every part that every had to be replaced was completely unique to the Corrado and therefore cost $500 everytime. The car itself was pretty solid (of course, VW :) ), but when something went wrong it went really wrong.

I looked at it already...did you see the pics of MY old sol in here?

No, I hadn't caught those before. Very impressive and obviously a lot of work. I really like the headliner and the work done on the interior.

I wonder if I have some pics of my 64 chevelle I used to own on my laptop at home...mean, low and all business...I had no radio, no air con, no power steering...just a big ass 427 beast under the hood and custom paint/interior...she was very clean...yeah a radio flyer had better handling than my 64 but man you don't know what Big Block power is until you've had a taste of it...the noise, the sounds, the size...the tq! It's like driving a roller coaster :D

I miss her sometimes...I love modern cars and performance but have always had a soft spot for oldschool muscle...and even oldschool european rides but haven't owned any of those yet.

Interesting thread...post more pics!
