Post pics of your Mazda5

Just look behind your rear wheel, the shocks are right there. Just three bolts, swap, reinstall, done.

Rear suspension. :) The rear spring swap is just super easy, and you can see the rear sway bar links.

Why is my rear clearance still almost 6"?? I didn't measure before...

The front is about 1/8" lower.

225/45. 3.5% too big...

The springs were actually used about 10,000km, so maybe they've already settled?

NICE DROP ON YOUR M5...How much it cost you to lower your M5?Thinking of getting those H & R as well....
DONE! I'm happy to say that I won't be needing any spacers since the H&R Sport Springs in the end gave me 2" drop front and rear, where they are rated 1.2" and 1.3" on the Mazda 3. PERFECT DROP!!! Love it!

One of my upcoming mods is definitely a rear skirt lip.

Finished putting my springs on last night. Went with Tein S-Techs and since I had a couple of leaking struts/shocks replaced them all with KYB GR-2. And for anyone going forward (and this may have already been said elsewhere) the "Mazda 3 Camber Correction kit" that TireRack sells is just a repackaged pair of SPC arms.

The only problems I had were the SPC arms didn't have enough adjustability. My rear is still noticeably negative. I'll let it settle of the next couple of days and then take to my buddy's shop to get aligned.

I'm really happy with the drop and the ride is fantastic. All said to replace everything I paid about $850. That includes struts, shocks, springs, rear camber arms, new bump stops/boots, front strut bushings/bearings, and rear shock mounts.

Snapped this with my phone this morning. It's settle a little after some driving last night. Plus the previous pic was just after the car was dropped from the rack.

dude, looks FANTASTIC!

can i get you to take some measurements for me? can you measure your ride height with those springs? (fender lip to wheel center) i would greatly appreciate it. also, how do the KYB's handle the s-techs?

Thanks, I'm really happy with it. So far the KYB's seem to be doing well. It's definitely a firmer ride, but in a good way. It doesn't jar, just feels very planted.

I'll take some measurements this evening and post'em up.

cool, i appreciate it ;)

interested to know what your rear camber is at when you get it aligned....pics look good though!

I went ahead and had it aligned this afternoon. Turns out that the SPC arms do have enough adjustment. My friend who tried to adjust the camber when installing the springs was actually adjusting the toe (it was late and we were hungry). So today we put the toe at .08 on both sides and the camber about -1. I figured the suspension is still going to settle some, so we left a little room for that.

That car tracks perfectly. And I was surprised at how flush the stock wheels are with the fenders (compared to most stock wheels).

@njaremka I wasn't able to get any measurements this evening. We've had some crazy/unpredictable weather lately. It went from sunny to flooding is about 5 min. I'll measure tomorrow.

hey, no problem. you're doing me a favor anyway. better to get the car drivable first. i still like the way it looks, and if you lived closer, i would beg for ride. i need to convince the wife that we need to modify the suspension on her's. i hate going from my protege into the 5. the suspension is so vauge in comparison.
