Possible MSP purchase

Well we're in Denver, so cold weather is definetly gonna play a part in the deal here. Fortunately the weather here has serious PMS, its only nast a few times each winter lol.

THe broker told me the other day they dont have the car on the lot (its on autotrader) because they're trying to figure out whats wrong with it. I was planning on calling them today to get an update, and possibly go check it out, since they only show cars by appointment. However, if they havent figured it out i'll try and give them some heads up. They arent all that far away from one of the bigger Mazda dealers in town, so its not like they cant get it fixed. I was assured if we want it, it would be in perfect running order first.

oh yea BTW, again this will be a daily driver. It might see some light mods, not so much to gain power but to make improvements and balance.

I cant get the link to work, so if anyone wants to see it (its a bit funny w/the flames and Louis Vuitton interior lol......no, i'm NOT kidding) go to autotrader, and look for protege's near 80233.

you're honestly considering buying that car? it's terrible

for starters, tell them to put the normal air box back on, that certainly isn't helping your slow acceleration issue. warm air blowing right into an open filter = slower car. next, that hood and doors with the flames is hideous, i hope they have a normal one to go with it or those are stickers. and the interior? lol, come on. chrome wheels, altezzas and mirror tint? i really hope they're offering you it for less than $10k for you to consider it, that $14,500 they listed is a pipe dream as far as i'm concerned

Yea seriously. I am selling mine for just above that and it looks a whole hell of a lot better. Spend just a little more to buy mine and I will ship it to you... just so you dont have to humiliate yourself.

come on guys. to each thier own. if his girl likes the flames/interior/ and tails let her have them. just because you dont like them doesn't mean she doesn't. personally i dont like it at all, but whatever makes the girl happy.

^^^^^^^^^ true

That said, i don't like it much at all. IMO, you'd be alot better off going with casopolis's or turtle of time's car, which you can be more assured of whats going on with them, since they know the intricacies of the car. But, if thats what the lady wants..... then hey, more power to her. Hopefully they get it all squared away quickly.

if someone likes their car like that then fine, i'm just saying if you're looking to buy a car one that is done like that says something about the owner and their possible lack of maintenance and/or mistreating of the car in terms of modifications. then again, i'd never buy a modified car but that's just me

That car is _seriously_ messed up, not only the interior screams rice, but the ricetezza lights also make me cringe... i guess to each their own.

My MSP is still for sale, just check it out its a good deal, i'll update it once it gets a bit warmer, cause its like 30 in my toolshed where i keep the tires.

But still, thats a wee bit too much, for something that can be labeled, dangerous goods, and they dismantled the short shifter for that ugly long throw POS.

LikeJMV said, either my car or cassopolis, at least the mazda pride is still intact with ours

Haha good wording. Well if they like the car they like the car. Simple as that. It is local and the financing could be just right, etc etc.... we don't know those details. Just make sure you get something you guys will both be happy with, and good luck.

Rest assured, we didnt pick it up lol. If we had, the flames (viynl) were coming off, as well as the tint. And probably the Louis Vuitton interior.....yikes. It was DEFINETLY not a consideration for how it looks, but for what it was. Anyways, we ended up going with a P5. 11k w/38k miles on it. Only thing its missing is the sunroof. Great shape, low miles, good price and great car. We pick it up on monday. Already have some springs on the way from one of the AV's here, and possibly an AEM short ram if he has any left on special.
Thanks for all the help though guys, I really appreciate the insight!
