they seem pretty good......for hondas atleast.

don't know if i would trust them with a block they have never been accustomed to though. They probably know, b series, k series blocks like the back of their hand though.

My g/f just got a new 4 door Civic Si in December, I'm looking into them for her car, and a bolt on turbo. I've put an inquiry into the owner to see if he'd feel comfortable looking into porting my MS3. There's a Mazda tuner house in town, but they're all RX8 and Miata. I've been thinking about hitting them up too. Wish I was in a coastal state, seems that's where the good tuner houses are poking around our car and really getting their hands dirty. Cobb Tuning, for example, has a call out for volunteers with a MS3 who'll 'donate' their ride for a time, then walk away with custom prototypes for market parts. We have some great tuner houses here, but they're all Mustang, of course...

Damned mullet-state.

I d be careful blumicar about taking the intake to any shop for porting , I have seen too many kids thinking that grinding metal out of runners and making intake/exhaust ports larger equates to more power but without proper flowbench testing porting at random is like carving a thanksgiving turkey in the dark.(could be getting a nice thigh or you might be slicing your own finger) What I have thought about (I am not just running my mouth, my specialty in the automotive field was engine building/machining) is since these cars have direct injection there is no need for rough surfaces on the intake side for the atomization of fuel on its way to the chamber so polishing would not cause any harm I would think. But serious porting without trial and error or a flowbench I think is not the way to go until there is some r&d out there, and the average shop that promises you that theyll port your heads doesnt have access to a flow bench, so at least do your homework on the shop before you go.

I hear you Lenny, this place has flowbench testing and such, but it's part of the larger (and thus more expensive) packages. I still haven't heard back from them after a VM and an email, so I'm not too confident they are very professional. Probably a couple of good ol' boys and their family (cousins, brothers, cousin-brothers). I hate when you contact a business to inquire if you might be able to give them money, and they don't return the call or email. Like I'm going to run after them... If they really wanted my money or cared they'd have gotten back to me.
