pop or soda?

exactly. If I want a Coke, I ask for a Coke. If I want a 7-up, I ask for a 7-up.

for some reason it has always irritated me when someone calls them pop or Soda. That's something old people call/called it when there wasn't any choices. My grandparents call it pop to this day. Or "soda pop" is another one they use.

It's like going to Blockbuster and asking " Can I have a movie?"

well, i usually say "i need a dew" or "i want a cherry coke" but sometimes i'll say "damn, we are out of soda"
