Poor Air Conditioning on MS3

Anyone that has an MS3 notice the air conditioning doesn't work that well unless you are driving around 50 or have the foot on the gas? This was a big issue with the RX-8 and the only fix was to wrap a bunch of heat shielding around the A/C return pipe to the cabin. Has anyone checked this out in the MS3? It seems that if you let the engine bay heat soak, the A/C goes to crap. This seems to be a Mazda problem as the Toyota's I've owned didn't have this issue.

mine was a little rough today when it was 102 degrees and i let it idle it in the driveway. but once i left the driveway it worked just fine for me

I was actually surprised at how quickly my air became cool just sitting after I started the car.

I had the same problem. When I took it to the dealer, they flushed the system and it's worked perfect ever since.

no problem, i think its an isolated situation.

+1 I can hang meat in mine. Take it to the dealer and have them check it out. You may have a bad thermo-switch, but thats just a guess.

I have a similar problem. If im in stop and go traffic or just parked with the a/c on it blows warm air. If im moving in the highway gets nice and cold.

mine works great if its sitting in 90degree whether all day of course its going to take 5 or 10 minutes to get cold just like in a tub of cold water if you add hot water it has to reverse all the cold ....duh!

nypest , what your talking about doesnt sound normal it shouild work when idiling. I would take it to the dealer
